4. Cookies

The website uses so-called “cookies”; these are text files that are stored on the user’s system and serve to enable LTM to analyse use and optimise the website. They help to make the online offering as a whole more user-friendly and effective. We use cookies to the following extent:

  • Transient cookies are used temporarily on our website. These include, in particular, session cookies. These store a so-called session ID, which allows various requests from your browser to be assigned to the same session. This enables your browser to be recognised when you return to the website. Session cookies are deleted when you close the browser.
  • We also use persistent cookies (used for a limited period). These store certain preferences so that they are also available to you on your next visit to the website. For example, this allows us to remember your language setting for 24 hours. Such cookies are automatically deleted after a predefined period, which may vary depending on the cookie. You can delete the cookies at any time in your browser’s security settings.

In addition, third-party providers also set so-called third-party cookies while you use our website. Third-party providers are service providers with whom we work in order to provide the website. These include, for example, advertising networks, reach measurement and payment functions (see also use of Google Analytics). The third-party providers set these cookies independently; we have no influence over the cookies set. You can also delete these cookies at any time in your browser’s security settings.

You can prevent the installation of cookies by making the appropriate setting in your browser software, or control and/or delete them as you wish. You can find out how here: www.aboutcookies.org. You can delete all cookies stored on your system and configure most browsers so that cookies are not stored. The website can still be used, although in individual cases there may be functional restrictions when using it.

5. Google Analytics

The website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”). Google Analytics uses “cookies”. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transferred to and stored on a Google server in the USA. If IP anonymisation is activated on this website, however, your IP address will first be shortened by Google within Member States of the European Union or in other contracting states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transferred to a Google server in the USA and shortened there.

Google processes this data on our behalf. Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on activities on the website and to provide other services associated with website and internet use. Google may also transfer this information to third parties if required to do so by law or where third parties process this data on Google’s behalf. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be combined with other Google data.

This website uses Google Analytics with the extension “_anonymizeIp()”. As a result, IP addresses are processed further only in shortened form, meaning that direct personal identification can be excluded. Google Analytics is used in accordance with the requirements agreed between the German data protection authorities and Google.

You can prevent the collection of the data generated by the cookie and relating to your use of the website, including your IP address, as well as the processing and use of this data by Google for your browser by clicking this link. This procedure works until you delete your cookies.

You can also prevent the collection of the data generated by the cookie and relating to your use of the website (including your IP address) by Google, as well as the processing of this data by Google, by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.

In addition, we use Google Analytics with the help of a DoubleClick cookie for statistical purposes. If you do not wish this, you can disable it for future use of the website at the following link: http://www.google.com/settings/ads/onweb/?hl=de.

You can also prevent the installation of cookies by making the appropriate setting in your browser software. The websites can still be used, although in individual cases there may be functional restrictions when using the websites.

You can obtain information from the third-party provider about the purpose and scope of data collection, the further processing and use of your personal data by Google, as well as your rights in this regard and setting options: Google Ireland Ltd., Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, Fax: +353 (1) 436 1001.

6. Google Maps

The website partly uses Google Maps to display maps from Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”). By visiting this website, data such as your IP address is transmitted to Google.  Google processes this data as usage profiles for the purposes of tailoring services to needs, advertising and market research. If you are logged in to Google, this data will be assigned directly to your account. If you do not want this, you must log out beforehand.

You can prevent the use of Google Maps by deactivating Javascript in your browser settings. However, this may in individual cases result in functional restrictions when using the websites.

Further details on the processing of data in connection with Google Maps, as well as your related rights and setting options for protecting your privacy, can be found in Google’s terms of use and privacy notices: https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/.

7. Data security

We have taken technical and organisational measures to ensure data security. These measures, such as the use of encryption technology, serve among other things to protect your data against manipulation, loss, destruction or access by unauthorised third parties.

The technical and organisational measures are continually developed and adapted in line with the current state of the art.

Our employees are bound by contractual agreements to maintain confidentiality.

8. Transfer of personal data to third parties

It may be necessary for us to pass on your data to third parties in order to fulfil the above-mentioned purposes, to provide the website or also due to an official or court order. The transfer is carried out in compliance with applicable data protection law, in particular to Bookingkit https://help.bookingkit.net/customer/de/portal/articles. In addition, you may be redirected from the website to third-party offers, such as insurance companies, webshops or accommodation agents. These operate their own websites, for which we are not responsible.

The data is transmitted for the purpose of handling the contractual relationship existing between you and LTM and/or for carrying out pre-contractual measures or on the basis of existing data processing agreements.

You can obtain further information about the recipients from the contact address specified under section 13 of this Privacy Policy.

If we use social plug-ins, personal data is transferred to third parties in accordance with the explanations in section 8 of this Privacy Policy.

9. Integration of social plug-ins into the website

Our website uses so-called social plugins (“plugins”) from the social networks Facebook, YouTube and Google+ as well as the microblogging services Twitter and Instagram. These services are offered by the companies Facebook Inc., YouTube LLC., Google Inc., Twitter Inc. and Instagram LLC. (“providers”).

  • Facebook is operated by Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA (“Facebook”).
  • YouTube is operated by YouTube LLC, headquartered at 901 Cherry Avenue, San Bruno, CA 94066, USA (“YouTube”), a company of Google Inc..
  • Twitter is operated by Twitter Inc., 1355 Market St, Suite 900, San Francisco, CA 94103, USA (“Twitter”).
  • Google+ is operated by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”).
  • Pinterest is operated by Pinterest Inc., 635 High Street, Palo Alto, CA, 94301, USA (“Pinterest”)
  • Xing is operated by XING AG, Gänsemarkt 43, 20354 Hamburg (“Xing”)

When you access a page of our website that contains such a plugin, your browser establishes a direct connection to the servers of Facebook, YouTube, Google, Twitter, Xing or Pinterest. The content of the plugin is transmitted directly to your browser by the respective provider and integrated into the page. By integrating the plugins, the providers receive the information that your browser has accessed the corresponding page of our website, even if you do not have a profile or are not currently logged in. This information (including your IP address) is transmitted by your browser directly to a server of the respective provider in the USA and stored there.

If you are logged in to one of the services, the providers can directly assign your visit to our website to your profile on Facebook, YouTube, Google+, Twitter, Xing or Pinterest. If you interact with the plugins, for example by clicking the “Like”, “YouTube”, “+1”, “Tweet”, “Pinterest” or "Xing" button, the corresponding information is also transmitted directly to a server of the providers and stored there. The information is also published on the social network, on your Twitter or Pinterest account, and displayed to your contacts there.

Please refer to the privacy notices of the providers for information on the purpose and scope of data collection and the further processing and use of the data by the providers, as well as your related rights and setting options for protecting your privacy.

If you do not want Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Google, Pinterest or Xing to directly assign the data collected via our website to your profile in the respective service, you must log out of the corresponding service before visiting our website. You can also completely prevent the plugins from loading by using add-ons for your browser, e.g. with the script blocker “NoScript” (https://noscript.net/). In this case, no data will be transmitted to the USA. All the providers mentioned above comply with the principles of the EU-US Privacy Shield regarding the collection, use, transfer and storage of personal data from the European Union to the USA and are accordingly certified under the EU-US Privacy Shield (https://www.privacyshield.gov/list).

We are not responsible for their operation, including data handling. If you send information to or via such third-party sites, you should check the privacy policies of these sites before providing them with information that can be associated with you personally.

11. Storage of data

Your data will be retained for as long as is necessary to provide our respective services or for as long as we are legally or lawfully obliged to retain it. In the latter case, your data will be deleted after these retention periods have expired.

12. Rights of the data subject

You are entitled at any time, within the framework of the statutory provisions and free of charge, to request information about, among other things, the data concerning you that we process, the purposes of processing, the storage period and/or the criteria for determining the storage period, and the recipients of the data.

If the data concerning you that we process is incorrect, incomplete or its processing is unlawful, we will be happy to correct it, complete it, restrict the processing or delete the data to the extent permitted by law. We ask you to notify us of any changes without delay.

If you have provided us with your data on the basis of your consent or within the framework of a contractual relationship existing with us on our website, e.g. in a registration form, we will provide this data to you in a commonly used format at your request or – where technically possible – transmit it to a third party specified by you.
