Opening on Augustusplatz
The Leipzig Festival of Lights 2014 marked on 9ᵗʰ of October 2014 the emotional highlight of the celebrations for the 25th anniversary of the Peaceful Revolution. On the 9ᵗʰ of October, the Leipzig Festival of Lights celebrated the 25th anniversary of the Peaceful Revolution. Around 200,000 people moved along the historic demonstration route for the first time across the entire inner city ring and experienced an artistic and movement space with more than 20 installations.
