On Grimmaische Straße, the Civil Movement Archive Leipzig (ABL) presents ten large-format photographic images from 1989. Pupils from the advanced history course at Gerda Taro School selected and commented on them as part of an archive education workshop. Alongside placing the images in their historical context, the focus was above all on the question: How do the historical events of 1989 in Leipzig relate to the challenges of the present? What inspiration can they provide?
