Anke Heelemann (1979) has been working with private photographs under the label FOTOTHEK since 2006. Her artistic practice includes interactive and performative formats in which she uses media such as installation, photography, theatre, language and communication. At the centre of her work are participation and involvement. A comprehensive artistic archive of anonymous private photographs serves as both the thematic and material starting point for her diverse works. Re-contextualising the material enables new ways of reading and invites viewers to use images outside traditional art spaces in unexpected ways. This continual re-evaluation and alienation creates a reflection on the construction of identity in photographs, as well as on individual and collective memory.

For several years, designer Christian Scheibe (1978) has been working in the field of light and media art. The focus of his artistic work lies on site-specific, thematic light installations in public spaces. His experimental arrangements move within the tension between the visible urban world and its invisible, hidden stories. The interplay between the tangible and the intangible forms part of his dynamic light architecture. The surrounding space, as a projection surface and resonating body, merges with his works and opens up new perspectives for the viewer.
